सपा प्रमुख अखिलेश यादव ने पिता मुलायम सिंह यादव नेताजी के निधन के बाद मैनपुरी लोकसभा की रिक्त सीट पर पत्नी डिंपल यादव को उपचुनाव मैदान में उतारकर विरासत सौंप दी है। इसके बाद कन्नौज सीट को लेकर सपा कार्यकर्ताओं में उपजी ऊहापोह को भी उन्होंने शांत कर दिया है। कन्नौज में एक निजी कार्यक्रम में शामिल होने आए सपा प्रमुख अखिलेश यादव ने पत्रकार वार्ता में आने वाले 2024 के चुनाव में कन्नौज संसदीय सीट से उतरने के संकेत दिए । Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday gave a strong indication that he would contest the 2024 Lok Sabha polls from his traditional Kannauj seat, which he had won for the first time in a bypoll in 2000 and went on to retain it in 2004 and 2009. Asked whether or not he would contest polls in 2024, Yadav, who was in Kannauj to attend two private functions on Thursday, said as a politician it was his job to contest an election. I will contest from where I contested my first election, he said.
