उन्नाव गैंगरेप की पीड़िता का दिल्ली के सफदरजंग अस्पताल में देर रात निधन हो गया. पीड़िता को गुरुवार को एयरलिफ्ट करके लखनऊ से दिल्ली लाया गया था. पीड़िता का शरीर 95 फीसदी जल चुका था. सफदरजंग अस्पताल के प्रवक्ता ने उन्नाव रेप पीड़िता के निधन की पुष्टि की है. सफदरजंग अस्पताल के बर्न एंड प्लास्टिक सर्जरी डिपार्टमेंट के हेड डॉ. शलभ कुमार ने बताया, 'हमारे बड़े प्रयासों के बावजूद पीड़िता को बचाया नहीं जा सका. शाम में ही उसकी हालत खराब होनी शुरू हो गई थी. रात 11.10 बजे उसे कार्डियक अरेस्‍ट आया. हमने इलाज शुरू किया और उसे बचाने की पूरी कोशिश की, लेकिन रात में 11.40 बजे उसकी मौत हो गई.'
